John R. Engberg Jr., 32, son of Beverly and John Engberg Sr., died July 21, 1995 at the Fort Miley Veteran's Hospital in San Francisco. He is survived by his parents and, his brother, Leonard A. Engberg. He was born in Takoma Park and graduated from Bowie High School in 1981, then attended Prince George's Community College before enlisting in the Navy. In 1986, he moved to San Francisco to live and pursue a career in the field of art. He experimented with a wide range of art forms: cartooning, graphic arts, film making, photography, jewelry making, sculpture, printing and painting. His memory and art, live on, and are cherished.
